About Emirates Airlines

Established in 1985, Emirates is one of the largest growing airlines in the world. The carrier operates a large inventory of all-round Boeing and Airbus aircraft and is the leading operator of the Airbus A380 aircraft. Emirates operates a broad transport network in the Middle East as well as in Africa, East Asia, South Asia, Australasia, North America, Europe and South America, currently operating from its center to even more than 140 locations and six continents across the globe.

Fleet:

Around since July 2020, Emirates has had a fleet of 255 commuters and 11 cargo aircraft operated by Emirates SkyCargo. Emirates has the biggest share of Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 airplanes in the global economy, with one A319 as an executive jet. Emirates claims to have had no narrow-body aircraft in its frontline inventory since 1995.

Class of Seating:

The Emirates fleet consists of Airbus A380, Airbus A340-500 and Boeing 777 aircraft built to have dividing seats for First Class, Business Class and Economy Class aircraft. The estimated gross utilization of the Airbus aircraft must be 265 for 3 class flights and the Boeing plane shall hold 365 travelers for 3 class flights and 440 commuters for 2 class flights.

Check-In Information:

For domestic passengers, the check-in counter begins 2 hours prior to the actual actual flight date and closes 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time. A documented flight verification itinerary must be provided at check-in along with government issued photo ID proof. Emirates also maintains a web-based check-in service, which is open 24 hours before each flight time and is easily available up to 90 minutes prior to the travel time. Web check-in is only accessible for 9 or less passengers booked on the same Passenger Name Record. Also, if first flight on the calendar is not an Emirates flight, a web check-in service is not permitted. Emirates also offers its passengers with a mobile boarding pass service.

Baggage Information:

Emirates offers one of the most flexible pricing checked luggage limits to its travellers. For passengers in the Economy class, the free checked luggage allowance is 30 kg, for business class it is 40 kg and for first class it is 50 kg. These exemptions do not extend on flights to North and South America, where the luggage allowance is determined per unit per person.

Refund Policy:

Refunds are usually allowed on personal grounds (self-cancellation, illness, maternity or death of a passenger), cancelation/rescheduling by the airline, unexpected situations or double reservation. That being said, different carriers have different rules for appropriate returns.
